Gardening is like the ebb and flow of life. You can’t have big gains without experiencing losses. In the losses is where your most valuable lessons are learned.
We have a visiting wild animal that has an appetite just for the ripening red heirloom tomatoes and nothing else. I could focus on the loss, get mad, hunt the furry guy down or be grateful for the abundance of every other vegetable we have harvested.
I’m choosing to learn from this, expand the garden next season, plant a surplus of different tomatoes, so there is enough for all of us to eat (that includes the visiting wildlife) next year.
The reality is loss is part of the gardening equation. As much as it sucks and I love to post vibrant/uplifting photos of the garden this is part of the game of life….. SH*T HAPPENS!
The Universal Law is simple…..Focus on the positive and the universe reciprocates by showering you back with the same energy you fed it.
Hopefully we will get to taste at least one ripened heirloom tomato this season.
